Spring Has Finally Arrived In Miramichi! May 1, 2011

We saw many weather changes in the month of April. After our snow storm on April 20th, we are happy to say that it finally feels like spring. Today is a beautiful warm day with a temperature of 16C or 61 F. We hope we have seen the last of the snow now!

There are lots of new signs of spring that we have noticed this month. The big one was that the river opened and the ice went out. We have also seen; the first robin, worms, bugs, buds beginning on trees, Canada geese have returned, more animals out like deer, moose, raccoons, foxes and porcupines, tulips emerging and other flowers starting to bloom.

We are excited that summer will soon be here and we are hoping for lots of warm sunny days!

The buds on trees are expanding.

The river is opened again, but there is still a snow hill in front.

A Snow Bunny - our kindergarten students made him on the playground last Thursday April 21st after our snowstorm.
