Beautiful, big, healthy: That describes this male robin. Adult males return first. Their larger size is part of their "insurance policy" for getting through migration alive, no matter what the late winter weather brings. Many people were thrilled to report their "first" robins in a week of severe weather across middle America. Thanks to everyone who watched and reported!
