Robins Get Thirsty "Walking along the Springbrook Trail, 77-8 robins were on the snow covered banks, on the ice and around the water. We saw one take off and skid across the water, which neither of us had ever seen before," reported Kim of Antigo, Wisconsin on January 7. Drinking fresh water is important for robins all year round. Flying is thirst-making exercise! Robins travel in large flocks during winter because it's helpful to have many eyes searching for food and water. Can winter robins find water in your locale?
