Seeing robins in January or February doesn't mean spring is around the corner. Robins live all over North America and as far north as Alaska. As short-distance migrants, most robins travel only a few hundred miles south of their nesting grounds. When it's cold, how do they survive? You'll discover the answer in this week's report!
Ontario, Canada, Feb. 9: "Out for a walk in our snowy wonderland yesterday afternoon. We had just received over 12 inches of snow. Much to my surprise I saw a Robin sitting in a small tree. I totally didn't expect to see this. Great survival instincts!"
