Yes, there's still a lot of snow in the robins' range.These observers tell one way robins can survive in cold, snowy places:

Sunapee, NH: "One single Robin - eating dried berries in tree. Colors bright: dark black cap, white under tail and deep rust chest/belly - beautiful!"

Little Falls, MN:"First robin this winter. It was feeding on the frozen fruits of of a flowering crab tree. IT WAS -10 degrees LAST NIGHT."
