Favorite Food
Robins find worms, their favorite food by sight cues. Each of a robin's eyes can be used independently (monocular vision). At least one reputable research study found evidence that robins also respond to auditory cues. What do you observe when you see robins hunting worms?

"Robins in the backyard are pulling up earthworms. It is 30 degrees F and sunny. The yard has been bare from snow for only about a week. The robins are also picking off the holly tree berries from last fall for the first time."
