Where To?
This robin is headed for his nest with a good meal for at least two or three of his baby robins. He wants to bring big meals every time he visits the nest. Why? If he brings one bug or worm every time he goes to the nest, the strongest baby might get all the food! Also, every time he visits the nest, he risks letting predators see the nest location. A smart robin tries to bring a big meal every time — one that can be shared among most or all of his young — and to bring the most food with the fewest visits.
