Weathering Winter
Providing whatever food you can for the birds before, during, and after a winter storm not only helps birds survive harsh weather, but it may also enable them to have a more successful breeding season.
"A flock of robins appeared in our yard this morning. We have a couple of inches of snow on top of a sheet of ice on ground and deck. All trees and shrubs, etc. are coated with ice as well."
