Jaime Torres Bodet Telescondia, Level 2 (Second year)
This school is located in “San Luis Community”, Ejido El Rosario. It is one of the two middle schools located at the closest surrounding to “El Rosario Sanctuary.”
At Middle schools (Telescondia) in our Education system, students stay for 3 years, (after their 6 years of Elementary education). Every teacher teaches his group the 6-8 subjects they attend, including English. Teachers should have Elementary knowledge in English in order to attend this requirement as professionals. The subjects they attend are Spanish, Maths, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, English, Ethics and Sports. This school and their teachers have one more time welcomed Journey North in the most enthusiastic way I can experience among many other schools which do similar!
It is just so wonderful to know that every year this time, teachers and students in the region now wait for their letters and their conservation message, even preparing special letters… and a small surprise-gift this time to send back in their symbolic Monarch!
Photo from a symbilic Monarch coming from Connecticut which group’s teacher, Lara Dolphin was exactly one year ago being for the first time at the Sanctuaries and being Estela her companion during her staying there!. She sends photo fo her and Estela and Greetings reminding the moments spent together in Angangueo and at the Sanctuaries!.
Director and teacher of group said:
“We are so proud and thankful to JN for visiting, for keeping this friensdhip and compromise among them on preservation the feeling for them to have a link of such kind with foreign students, is just fantastic at this time of their lives!”
Teacher Estela from the group asking: “
"Please never miss visiting us, since these kind of messages are so much necessary for students as future owners of their own land and forest in the village and the región.”
They liked their donated book very much because of its topic….” Tolerancia”..
The Cemetery seen above the school on top of the hill is still looking very live in color since our great celebration of day of the dead, three weeks ago. Also, I wanted to show the hospital for the village, where only first aid assistance can be offered to the local population. Major illnesses are attended to in the nearest city - one hour driving from the village.
