The real and symbolic monarch butterflies are migrating north from Mexico right now. All 70,000+ are heading to Minnesota where we'll prepare them for the final leg of their journey. Watch your mailbox for their return by May 5th. Meanwhile, explore the photo galleries and see how the Symbolic Monarchs spent the winter in Mexico!

Last fall, classrooms sent over $11,000 to Mexico for monarch conservation. Two stories this week are about the work the students' donations are supporting. The goal of both projects is to take pressure off the forest by helping local people find new ways to live and work.

The Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary Foundation contributions are now tallied. Thank you for your generous support for the programs that help conservation efforts in this region!
