Introducing Mystery Class # 7
Hong Kong, China 22.217 N 114.183 E
Lei Ho! Hello!
Our mystery class is located on Hong Kong Island. More specifically,
a suburb called Repulse Bay. Repulse Bay is one of the major tourist attractions in Hong Kong.
In Repulse Bay is one of the luckiest buildings. It, according to feng shui, (a Chinese belief) must have a hole
in the center of it so a dragon will be able to pass through to get water and travel back to the mountains. Don't
worry, it's only a legend. We don't have any dragons passing through holes here.
In our school, Hong Kong International School, we are located on the second
floor, 5th grade. Our teacher, Mrs. Barnes, is the best teacher in the whole wide world. You have our word for
it. Our class has 22 pupils in it. We have a variety of nationalities, ranging from Chinese to British.
Our classroom is called the "the Football Field" because of it's great size. We have seven computers
unlike some other schools. Also we have three different white board panels. Our desks are arranged into tables
usually into groups of four.

The climate is very waywardy. We have rain and the heat is very strong in the spring and summer. Last year, the
weather was so weird that we actually had snow on the mountain tops and the temperature was as cold as 3 deg. Celsius!
And we are near the equator! The language varies, due to our many nationalities. About 98% is Chinese, however.
Our class is very interesting, as you have learned. Hong Kong is a very cool city. You should visit.
