Background A former Sea World of Florida captive. She was rescued March 1992 in the Indian River as a juvenile suffering from hypothermia, pneumonia, and emaciation. After rehabilitation she was released near her rescue location in June 1994, without a tag. When she was seen in northern Florida in March 1997, she was tagged. Knicky lost her tag in the Savannah River, Georgia in early Dec 1999. On 25 Jan 2000, Knicky was seen at the Florida Power and Light's warm water effluent in the Indian River, Brevard County.
