Two monarchs were reported in central Texas on February 29th. Did they
come from Mexico? We asked Dr. Calvert, What's your interpretation
of the early sightings in central Texas?
A.
Well, I think it's entirely possible that some of the monarchs leave Mexico
in February or late February--just a few of them do. They're the advance
party. I mean, it's unproven, but it's likely that they do that.
