Visiting in Winter
Like so many birds that migrate seasonally, Dark-eyed Juncos leave their breeding grounds in Canada to winter in the United States and northern Mexico. This little sparrow is easy to spot if you look down. They hop around the bases of trees and shrubs, or under your feeder looking for fallen seed. Juncos are identified by their white belly and pink bill.
