Seasonal Visitors
Short-distance migrants, like Red-breasted Nuthatches and other songbirds breeding in the north, show up at your feeders during the colder months.

"Red-breasted nuthatches visit the garden every fall to feast on suet and to probe the bark of our trees for hidden treats. They usually stay through spring, when the sap begins to run in the nearby woods." !1/17/15 Bellingham, Washington
