Bumblebees
Like their relatives the honey bees, bumblebees are nectar feeders. This makes them important agricultural pollinators. They are known to make a hole near the base of a flower where they can go directly for the nectar. Bumblebees harvest both nectar and pollen which they carry back to their nest for storage.
"We were out playing hockey in the back yard when we saw this bumblebee," reported Joe in Saint Catharines, Ontario.
