Bumblebees Like their relatives the honey bees, bumblebees are nectar feeders. This makes them important agricultural pollinators. They are known to make a hole near the base of a flower where they can go directly for the nectar. Bumblebees harvest both nectar and pollen which they carry back to their nest for storage.
