Cape May Warbler
The Cape May warbler migrates from its wintering grounds in the West Indies and northern South America to breed in the boreal forests of Canada and the northern United States. In the winter months this unique bird collects nectar using its curled, semitubular tongue. In summer its preferred food is the spruce budworm.
"Had a Cape May warbler at the hummingbird feeder today. First I have ever seen in this area. Did not seem to be interested in the finch feeder at all. Just the hummingbird nectar."
