Countdown
to Migration: October 7, 2005
Chick
Chat: Ready for Migration?
With departure just days away, how does Team Leader
Joe Duff feel about flying with a record flock of 20 chicks? “I’m
scared!” he said with a hearty laugh.
Kidding aside,
the team isn’t worried about the birds’ endurance.
They ARE worried about the birds turning back early in the
flight. Like many youngsters, the chicks are afraid
to leave home the first time. What
will happen? We'll know next week!

Meet
the Pilots: Crane Quiz #5
Just one question today:
How many kids in the world can say “My dad flies with the cranes”? To
answer the question, meet the four lead and chase plane pilots for this
year's migration:

spot” so important to the birds in flight? Find answers in the fourth
kids’ booklet
in our series of six. The booklets come in .pdf format, ready to print,
fold, and enjoy. You'll also find links to the Teacher Guide (with lesson
links) and a booklet slide-show format to view on the Web:
