A Crowd Comes to See. . .But No Take-off
+0 Miles

Yesterday's flight was so terrific! Hoping for more of the same, Brooke asked his fellow pilot the daily question: “Hey Chris, how about tomorrow?”

”No way,” replied Chris. He's the team's unofficial weatherman.

Still, they hoped. This morning it was Joe's turn to be the “wind dummy.” They pulled his trike out of the hangar. Up into the dark sky went Joe, only to radio down to the other pilots: “We’re not going anywhere today. Too much headwind.”

Luckily, a waiting crowd of crane fans saved the day. The crew got to meet the folks that came at dawn to watch the take-off. They talked about the project and answered questions, hoping the fans weren't too disappointed. The crowd's interest and enthusiasm made them feel much better. Those good feelings will get the team through another “down day.” And many of those fans will be back tomorrow in hopes of seeing the birds take off for Kentucky! Will you join th crowd? See directions here.
