Operation Migration

Friday the 13th Brings Howling Winds
Gusty winds at Stopover #2 in Juneau County, WI have the team's trailer homes rocking and rolling. They knew the bad news before they woke up: it's another day grounded.

In the Classroom

  • Today's Journal Question: When they DO fly again, how many kids in the world will be able to say "My Dad flies with young whooping cranes"? Click on Meet the Team and you'll find the answer! Write a bit about the pilots in your journal.
  • Click map for animation!
Migration History: Don't be disappointed; the migration WILL happen. This animated map of last year's journey south proves that delays are a normal part of every migration.

Journey North is pleased to feature this educational adventure presented in cooperation with the Whooping Crane Eastern Partnership (WCEP).
