Fogged in But Getting Close (+0 Miles)
December 17, 2006: Migration Day 74

The team is unable to leave Hamilton County, Florida today due to fog and headwinds. Pilot and weather expert Chris says weather for the next two days looks better. They hope to finish the migration on Day 76. They've traveled 1034.9 miles, and 2 more flights will get them to Halpata Reserve (more on that tomorrow). Almost home!

The young cranes cool off in a pond before "the costume" walks them to their pen Dec. 15.
