On September 11 Caleb and Geoff
released the 10 birds as the ultralight raced down the runway.
Then they brought out the "swamp monster" to encourage the
colts that
normally
land
at the
end
of the runway to keep flying. Five birds were flying nicely
on the wing while four others were moving in the same direction.
Meanwhile, crane #1-11 seemed to be on his own mission.
