Crane #4-14 was a great follower before his injury. On September 28, he trained with the group for the first time since his injury. He still wore his brace. "He would have done better if he'd trained by himself with the plane and had the benefit of the wing vortices from the aircraft to aid his flying," noted Heather. With the group, he was the last bird and couldn't catch up to the aircraft. He dropped out in the marsh after 3 minutes of flight.
