First to Migrate!

March 11, 2015: First to Migrate!

Hooray! Juvenile crane #7-14 was the first in the Class of 2014 to depart Florida on her first journey north. She left March 11 with adult cranes #4-12 and #4-13, who have made this journey before. The three were tracked and photographed at their first stopover, a cornfield less than 20 miles from Operation Migration's southern migration stopover in Decatur County, Georgia. Safe travels to all!
