August 7, 2003 A Sad Day #314 at age 43 days Whooping crane #314 was seriously injured during training this morning when she got too close to the rear wheel of the ultralight as it was taxiing for take-off. The injured bird was taken right away to the nearby International Crane Foundation for medical help, but she did not survive. She was 82 days old. Try This!
