November 25, 2004 Migration Day 47 Too Windy to Fly Photo OM The team an birds remain in Meigs County, TN at Hiwassee State Wildlife Refuge for the seventh day since arriving. Today they are standing down due to winds gusting to 25 mph. Heavy rains kept them here over the past two days. How rainy was it? The rain sogged the phone lines, prohibiting any internet connections. It flooded the only road into the camp. Snow this morning in some of the higher elevation areas of Tennessee, but not in the cranes' neighborhood. Tomorrow will likely still be windy.
