The crane-kids are now flying free in their first winter in Florida. Their new home is on St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), 22 miles due south of Tallahassee. Some of the birds have been delivered here since 2008. In 2012 St. Marks replaced Chassahowitzka NWR as the end destination for all birds in the remaining years of aircraft-led migrations. Let's visit St. Marks!
