Huge Winter Storm
On November 9 a huge mass of low pressure brought dangerous winds and many feet of snow to Alaska and the Haines area. The storm continued through the week dropping 59" of snow. The conditions made it impossible to continue with the eagle counts in the usual way. Alaskans wait and watch and hope to find a break in the weather. Pam Randles wrote,"The eagles are still out there, we just can't see them." |
