Keeping Feeders Fresh
Fresh nectar in feeders prevents the food from fermenting and becoming moldy. The sugar water solution needs to be changed as soon as it starts to turn cloudy. In hot weather which promotes fermentation, the feeder may need to be cleaned and refilled with fresh sugar water every 1-3 days. Any syrup solution will spoil eventually, no matter the temperature, so keep a close eye on all your feeders.
