Visiting Wildflowers
To gather enough nectar to meet their high energy needs, hummers must visit hundreds of flowers every day. They feed by sight on regularly followed routes, but their inquisitive nature will quickly lead them to investigate any possible new source of food. Report the natural sources of nectar hummingbirds are finding in your area and along the migration trail!

"There's still jewelweed blooming all along the roadsides. I like to think of the hummers finding this favorite fall food as they migrate."
