Citizen scientists, teachers, and students came together for a week of field work as part of a long-term study of rubythroats on their wintering grounds. The expedition was centered at Ujarrás, a riverside agricultural community. The study sites focused on chayote fields because its flower nectar is an attractive food source for hummingbirds.
