Honoring Monarchs and the first
day of spring

These are photos of our final event for the Monarch Butterflies. For
decades, children from our school, Colegio Corregidora, have participated
in this event. Today we named the new King and Queen for 2009, who rendered
honor and farewell to the Monarch Butterflies and invited her to come
back next year. At the same time they welcome the spring season. The
newly crowned couple sit in the center. The leaving Queen and King sit
at the right of the newly crowned couple, and the Princess and Prince
sit to their left. Children dance to different kinds of music, another
tradition our children have had for decades. I hope you enjoy these
photo as much as I enjoyed being there a few minutes ago.
