include (rtrim($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']) . '/'."jnorth/www/includes/eg_nav_monarch.inc"); ?> The Forest as Blanket, Umbrella, and Hot Water Bottle Dr. Lincoln Brower often says that the monarch's forest acts as a blanket, an umbrella, and a hot water bottle. If the forest is cut or thinned, he says, monarchs will not have the habitat they need. Since you're already familiar with blankets, umbrellas, and hot water bottles, you can apply your knowledge to a question about monarch habitat. Describe what Dr. Brower means, using each of his analogies. You may be surprised how helpful analogies can be.
