Monarch Butterfly Lays Hundreds of Eggs
Dr. Jim Edson of Arkansas captured a monarch from Mexico
one spring. She laid 758 eggs in the last 32 days of her life! This
picture shows some of her offspring. (A monarch never lays so many
eggs on a plant except when she is in captivity.)
