Pieces in the Navigation Puzzle
There is so much left to learn to solve the monarch's navigation
mystery! The monarch's Sun compass only gives monarchs a sense
of direction. Monarchs also need a sense
of location. For example, how do monarchs know to stop
migrating when they reach their winter home in Mexico? Future research
is needed. Maybe you can help solve the mystery some day!
