Robin
Feeding Frenzy
- Sure,
he might have been hungry and swallowed the worm for his own
lunch, but he could have done it for the kids!
Baby
robins don't have mouths big enough to eat a whole worm. So parents
eat foods themselves and then regurgitate (throw up) small
pieces for the babies.
- Baby robins
love earthworms and larvae, but adults also like fruits and other tiny
animals like beetles and spiders.
Next time a robin is poking around your lawn, look carefully at what
it picks up in its beak!
