Fences,
Bobcat and Wolf Scent
Over
the years Alaskan gardeners have grown tulip test gardens whose
newly emerged shoots lured the local moose in for lunch.

One
teacher in Sterling, Alaska caught this moose in the act of emptying
her backyard bird feeder! She says you need a 10 foot fence to keep
them out of the garden.
Another
northern gardener shared his experience with keeping away critters,
"As for the skunks eating the tulips, if you can get some bobcat
scent and spray it around the plants, this might work. Wolf scent
works for the moose."
