In
Rockford, IL, at the Spectrum school, students worked together to
organize their tulip test garden this fall.
"The
students enjoyed filling our NEW 4 x 8 raised bed garden with soil,
figuring out the spacing for our grid, screwing in the eye screws
and weaving the colorful string so we can keep track of each individual
bulb. Our grid is reproduced in the classroom with each student's
name along with the weight and circumference of his/her bulb. When
spring arrives we will mark the date each bulb emerges and blooms
on our grid. There are also several "experimental" squares."
