This
week’s final map still shows some gardens yet to show
red. We’ll discuss why. View spring’s arrival with a

Garden Update: May 6, 2005
May Day brings baskets of flowers from our gardens and woodlands
this week! The map's colored mostly red - showing that spring has
swept across the North American continent. Our Northern-most gardeners
are celebrating the season too, after the long winter's cold. Who
will be the last to bloom? Predictions? Stay tuned!

Garden Update: April 29, 2005
The wave of spring continues its spread across the continent. In the
past week, 39 gardens saw their first blossoms and 10 reported the
first sign of green. This week, dig into 5 years’ worth of data
from one special garden, then predict when bloom will occur in 2005.
Also, look closely at your flowers. Do they appear to belong to the
lily family? |

Learn about an interesting phenomenon called alleopathy, and try an

A bright red tulip opened its petals on Valentine’s Day this
year for the first garden to bloom in the 2005 season. This is 2 weeks
