I See Patterns, Do You? Discussing Challenge Question #9

“Why are gardens along the oceans blooming further north now than gardens in the middle of the continent? Explain your answer.”

From Council Elementary School in Council, ID:
Our class discussed this question at length. After comparing the temperature maps, one student wrote: “It is warmer near the oceans and they may be getting more rain. At night, it is 40 - 50 degrees on the west coast. That is as warm as it is here in Idaho in the day time. On the west coast their daytime temperature is 50 to 60 degrees, while in Idaho it is at least 10 degrees cooler.” Mrs. Huter's 4th Grade
