Can
you use your imagination to put the canadian map over the U.S.
map? |
Just a
quick update today to give you the latest data for your map. We have
31 MORE gardens reporting emerging tulips and 4 more RED dots on this
week’s tulip map!
Take a
close look at YOUR garden. In Westbury, NY, 2nd graders are watching
their little emerging tulips. They wrote, “They look reddish
and are shaped like a castle tower with a tip.”
Make your
own map or print ours.
Choose a state where the next tulip garden will bloom… ...and come
back next week to see what happens!
Now let's
study these winter temperature maps (Nov.- Jan, 2006) for a minute...
- Locate
your garden on the map. How many degrees warmer/colder than normal
was it during the winter (Nov. – Jan.)?
- The
scale is different for the 2 maps, but can you fit Canada north of
the U.S.?
- Will
the past winter's temperatures affect WHEN spring arrives in your garden?
What do you predict?
The
Next Tulip Garden Update Will Be Posted on March 17, 2006.
