5th graders in Philadelphia were overjoyed to return from spring break and find their tulips in full bloom! This is the first time the school has participated in Journey North as citizen scientists. It was a fabulous experience, and I would definitely incorporate it into my curriculum again.

• We were pen pals with a younger class in California and Skype pals with an older class in Michigan.

There were so many resources provided by Journey North that I did not access on our first experience, and I would hope to add more and more each year we participate!
