Waiting, Watching and Recording...

  • 02/29/12 Lake Forest, Illinois
Tulips have emerged early...Students are wondering...what if it snows? Will the tulips stop growing, will they grow back down? Maybe they will keep growing?
  • 02/28/12 Elkton, Virginia
We now have 20 that have emerged- out of 16 planted. Some of the bulbs had smaller bubs on them when we planted them in the fall. We think that those little bulbs are making plants too.
  • 02/27/12 Scarsdale, New York
We walked outside and there they were! The tulips had emerged. They were small, but it was exciting to see. They were green with some red. They were an upside down triangle shape.
  • 02/24/12 Huntington Park, California
Yesterday we noticed that the tulips had red only on the tips. The rest was green. This morning two of them were red but not open yet. By recess they had bloomed. We think they opened slowly like being born or growing.
  • 02/24/12 Mountain Brook, Alabama
We were so excited to come outside to see that two of our tulips were blooming! We have had a very mild winter this year. Yesterday most of us wore shorts to school and short sleeved shirts! We had a high of 75 degrees F. We can't wait to come back to school on Monday and see how many new blooms we have!
  • 02/25/12 Dalton, Georgia
