• 03/06/12 Castro Valley, California
  We now have 13 bulbs emerged. Our tallest bulb is 8 centimeters and our shortest bulb is 5 centimeters.
• 03/05/12 Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania
  With a blustery temperature of 28 degrees, a wind chill of 20 degrees, and wind gusts up to 20 mph the tulips were spotted emerging from the ground! (Even Punxsy Phil - the Groundhog - knows that it's still winter!)
  
• 03/05/12 Nashville, Tennessee
  Today half of our tulip garden bloomed. The blooms were bright red like the color of candy apples. We are making recordings in our workbook. So beautiful. Spring and tulips have arrived.

  ¡Una tulipa ha florecido!
• 03/01/12 Silver Spring, Maryland
  Our winter has been unusually warm, so our tulips came up earlier than we expected. We've had little snow, and only brief periods of cold weather. Our daffodils and crocuses have emerged and bloomed as well.

  We were out checking air and soil temps and were shocked to see about 1/2 of our tulips popping out of the ground!
