Short Stems in Virginia
Staff at the Virginia Living Museum report blooming in the Children's Learning Garden. "This year the tulips were planted in the center of the bed rather than the edge of the bed as in previous years. This may have caused them to emerge later than in previous years. Bloom date is within the range of dates recorded over the past 14 years. One flower stalk was very short. Is this due to the below normal temperatures?" 04/01/13
