Second graders observed:
"For several weeks in February and into March, our ground was covered with snow every week. On March 15, we came out to do our observation at 9:30 in the morning. There is snow covering the sprouts, but some are peeking out! We saw some animal prints, but aren't sure what kind of animals has been running around the tulips!"
"We did an observation on March 20. The snow has melted! The sun is shining, but it's still chilly and windy outside. The grass is wet. We hear some birds chirping today. We noticed that some of the tulip sprouts have red dots. We're very curious to know what the tulips will look like when they bloom! The sprouts measured 3- 8 inches." |
