So far this March, temperatures have been running quite a bit below average for a large portion of the northeastern quadrant of the United States and into Canada. Snowstorms again blanketed this region and colder than normal air is forecast for the first weekend of spring.
"It was beautiful weather towards the end of the week. We were so excited to work in the garden observing the tips of the tulips popping out of the soil. We had another snowstorm on Monday that dropped about 8 inches on the tulip garden. Hope they still make it." Arlington, Virginia 03/17/14
