As this winter weather grinds on in many places in North America, the sight of tulips emerging in the garden is a welcome surprise.
"We checked several of the sites where we planted tulips last fall, and to my surprise we found plants were emerging from the ground. It's only been several days since the snow has melted off these sites. A few warm days was all they needed." Lewistown, Montana 03/19/14
