"Today we visited our tulip garden for the first time since we planted on October 29. We saw tips of leaves emerging from the soil where we planted. The top of the leaf had a red tint. The bottom was green. We saw about 25 little leaves. Our winter has been mild. We had snow in December. January was mild, with only 5 days around freezing."
