Bell's Vireo
This species winters as far south as Honduras. A shy and secretive bird, it is surprisingly fearless around its nest. This week, new migrants in Arizona included Bell's Vireos. John James Audubon named the bird after a companion, John Graham Bell, on his 1840s travels up the Missouri River.
